Party People

Happy bride.
Dancing groom.
Happy niece.
Dancing nephew.
Happy feet.
Dancing maniac. (I had a hard time keeping him in the frame.)
Sassy sister. (I need to teach her to behave . . . as soon as I figure out how.)

One of these days I'm going to purchase PhotoShop and start putting cool filters and stuff on my pictures. Meanwhile, thanks for all your kind comments in spite of my lack of snazzy effects. :)

I'm still cracking up on the commentary! I like the feel of these shots- they are just happy. Photoshop is a lot of fun but I started with Lightroom. It is a lot less intimidating, a LOT cheaper, and you still have a TON of options. I still use Lightroom for uploading and basic adjustments. VERY user friendly. That said, your work looks great without it!

These are just plain fun! You don't need better software...that's just icing on the cake. Your shots stand on their own. I'm with you on needing/wanting to purchase new software though. I'm going to bite the bullet and get Lightroom and CS3. Since I'm calling myself a professional now, I guess I should use pro tools!

Love the commentary! As for editing, I use CS3 and love it, but if I hadn't spent 3.5 months learning how to use it, I'd have no clue... I sometimes feel that I spend too much time editing pictures since I know all the possibilities!

Thanks for the sympathy about the paper and research. We'll see what God does about it. The whole thing just makes me feel a bit sick. But I'll let tomorrow worry about itself.

No, haha, the peeling paint in my picture is not from my "closet" -- it's actually from the Eastern State Penitentiary in Philly again. I had done a series of pictures from there earlier this summer (did you see them?).

I LOVE PHOTOSHOP CS3! Did I "write" that loud enough??? I do love these...and what Robert said is right....when you have a good eye...the editing just makes it POP! :) If someone doesnt take great pictures....editing doesnt really matter!
