PB 3: Serve and Protect (after milk and cookies)

You know you're getting old when real-live firemen look more like little boys at play. Strolling through Vail last week, we came across this 12-year-old . . . er, I mean, strapping young man leading his fellow fireguy in a training drill. (Yeah. This was the older, more experienced one!)
The trainee came halfway down the ladder head first, then swung his feet around to complete the descent. Impressive. We gave him a round of applause and a cookie.

(Just kidding about the cookie.)

Shiny black hats. Shiny black pants. I think they qualify. For more PB, visit Anna!

He does look really young! It must be a prerequisite that firemen are good looking. I've never seen one that wasn't.

The black hat...ya, THAT'S why you chose these pictures. Ya, I'm sure that's it. :)

He does look young. Great smile. Cool black hat. Great photos. I remember exactly where I was the first time grown up people started looking really young to me. It's one of those cross roads moments in life, I think when you suddenly realize you have moved to a new place. That's one gorgeous fireman... and he does look way too young... especially to be the senior on the job.

I'm laughing at Robert's comment!

This is not a great shot - it's a great portrait!
I'm so enjoying your work.

Lol... Robert. This is a perfect couple shots! To be that young again... or even to stop seeing grown adults as 12 year olds, lol... would be nice ;-)

It hurts me just to watch that ladder exercise, yikes! Great capture.
BTW, I scrolled down and was checking out your other posts, saw the reference to Jubilee and clicked on it. Looks like they're getting great response from KCBS, one of my good friends does a radio show there one morning a week...small world huh?
I did a little demo-listen and I was wishing I had that CD for my dinner party last night - beautiful music.
Looks like I'll have to gather "the gang" and go see them at the Triple Door.
